In each episode, a popular actor is given a chance to put their acting skills to the ultimate test: can they actually experience the life of their character?

 

They meet a real-life counterpart of their most famous character and spend several days with them, learning their skills and living the character’s real life. 

When the show is edited, the real life experience of the actor is intercut with segments of the original scripted series, providing a fascinating experience for the viewer. 

 

This entertaining show has a great “fish-out-of-water effect”, as we see an actor doing something a long way outside their comfort zone.
